Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL)
Mr. Andy Tung has been the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Managing Director of Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) since July 2012. Headquartered in Hong Kong, he is responsible for OOCL’s global business and growth.
Mr. Tung also serves as an Executive Director and a member of the Executive Committee of Orient Overseas (International) Limited (OOIL), the parent company of OOCL, since March 2006.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Tung was the Chief Operating Officer of OOCL since January 2009. Between 1993 and 1998, he served the OOIL Group of companies in various capacities, including as Director of Reefer Trade of OOCL.
Mr. Tung held senior executive responsibilities in Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited, the last position as the Chief Operating Officer, prior to rejoining OOCL in 2006.
Mr. Tung holds a Bachelor degree from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University in the USA. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and was formerly the Vice-Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce Commission for Transport and Logistics.
Mr. Tung is married with two daughters and a son.
