Mr. Yahushiji is one of the five Representative Directors of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), and one of the nine Board of Directors of MOL. As one of the three Executive Vice President Executive Officers, reporting to the President and CEO, Mr. Yakushiji is responsible for the Liner Division and the Logistics Division.

Mr. Yakushiji joined Mitsui O.S. K. Lines, Ltd. In April 1972 and held a number of managerial positions before being named as the General Manager of the Liner Division in June 1998 and in June 2000, he was named an Executive Officer.

Mr. Yakushiji is a member of the Board of Directors of the World Shipping Council. He is a graduate of Tokyo University and holds a Bachelor of Economics.

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd (MOL) operates 861 vessels, 695 bulk, 115 container and 51 others and employs over 10,000 people. For the fiscal year ending in March 2009, the company generated USD 19 billion in revenue.

With a fleet of 356 vessels, MOL is the world's largest operator of dry bulkers, which transport iron ore, coking and steaming coal, wood chips, grain and other cargo. MOL is also a leader in energy transport markets. A total of 178 tankers carry crude oil, refined products, chemicals and LPG, and MOL plays a central role in the LNG carrier market, participating in projects with a total of 72 vessels. In addition, MOL operates a core fleet of 89 car carriers, the 2nd largest globally in this segment. MOL has a fleet of 115 containerships and a well-balanced network that links all of the world major regions and is recognized as one of the largest global container carriers.
