Cargo Safety at Sea Forum 2026

A Singapore Maritime Week Partner Event

Hosted by World Shipping Council

Monday 20 April, 09:00am - 12:30pm

Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore

Join the World Shipping Council for the Cargo Safety at Sea Forum 2026, held at the start of Singapore Maritime Week. With ship fires now at a decade high, and too many preventable incidents still occurring, cargo safety is one of the most urgent challenges in global shipping. Misdeclared and undeclared dangerous goods remain a leading cause of ship fires, putting crews, ships, ports and cargo at risk.

The Cargo Safety at Sea Forum 2026 will bring together carriers, regulators, insurers and supply chain partners to talk prevention and response. From declarations, compliance and smarter screening tools to ports of refuge, operational response and the human impacts of incidents at sea, the discussion will focus on practical steps and lessons learned to help keep cargo moving safely and protect seafarers.
