Development of a new dataset for digital reporting of the loss of freight containers

This document builds on the outcome of MSC 111 regarding the use of standardized reporting templates for loss of freight containers and observations of drifting freight containers, based on the reporting templates developed at CCC 11 and reflected in document MSC 111/14/10 and subsequently in CCC.1/Circ7/Rev1.

It proposes to enable digital reporting based on these templates, with a view to improving reporting efficiency, data quality and integration with IMO GISIS, while maintaining full alignment with SOLAS regulations V/31 and V/32.
